That's about the third or fourth time that this site has been posted here. It's owner, Steve Leigh even put in a short appearance on this forum. Mainly he avoided answering direct questions

I don't answer Voodoo Louie's questions.  Most anyone else gets a straight answer from me.

Louie spreads the lies, not me.  Voodoo Louie defames himself, and does an excellent job of it.

He favors a tool that's used by some in dog training that is subject to the most horrible abuse if misused that I think exists in dog training. Of course he denies ever using it in that fashion but there's much evidence that supports the truth, that he did misuse it.

"Much evidence"?  Let's support the truth.  Let's see some evidence.

He was here for a few days, perhaps weeks until he demanded that Ryan throw me off for saying that he was a dog abuser.

Ryan refused partly because it was obvious that he had only come here for one purpose, to try and discredit me.

Instead stevie left because, as can be seen from his site, he can't stand being disagreed with and he thinks that everyone else needs to march to his band.

Our disagreement started years ago on, I think, the Protection Dogs List (PDL) on the topic of Ecollars. At the time he was one of those folks who thought that the tool can ONLY be used for corrections after dogs have been trained with other methods.

The conversation went on with each of us stating our opinions. Then, in order to question my credibility and my veracity he asked what I'd done in dogs. At the time (I think) I was the in-house trainer for my PD's K-9's. (To tell the truth this has gone on for so long and I think it's so unimportant in the grand scheme of things that I don't remember the details) At that time I'd done about nine seminars so I probably mentioned them to support my credibility.

After supplying my credentials I quite naturally asked what he'd done in dogs. He replied that he had an ongoing dog training business, that he'd trained dogs for several police departments and private citizens and that he'd titled "many dogs." Since this is an easy claim to make on the Internet I asked for the names of the departments that he'd trained for and the names of dogs that he'd titled and information to support this statement. He refused to answer those questions, stating (to the effect) that he wasn't required to supply me with any such information.

That's a shame.  This page and this page verify my claims.  This page does, too.

I replied that while that was true, my credentials were easy to check up on (I gave the phone number of my PD and offered to supply references, as I do to this day); but that at the same time, his veracity, as long as he refused to supply verifying information, was placed in doubt.

I commented that his website had lots of information about some device he manufacturers to improve the sound of Hammond organs but not a single word about his dog training facility, his dog training company or even a single word about dogs.

Voodoo Louie conveniently reads what he wants to read.

You'd think that someone who claims that he regularly supplies K-9's to police departments would at least have something to say about that; but not a word appeared there.

You'd think that someone who has a website would decide what they want to put on their website.  And you'd be right!

If Voodoo Louie really wants to tell me what to put on my website, we could arrange that - for $500,000.00 per month.  Ready to sign up, Voodoo?

His response was that I was not going to dictate what appeared on his website. (Now he claims that he's shut down his dog training business).

Closed on August 6, 2002.  Voodoo Louie is a little lot behind the times.

Quite naturally, he didn't like hearing any of this. Very quickly after that his posts became flaming. filled with profanity and name calling. He was soon removed from the list by its owner for inappropriate behavior and violating the rules of the list which naturally, forbade flaming.

I wasn't removed, I unsubscribed.  Voodoo Louie and his fan club were removed from this one.  And this one.

Then he popped up on another list I was on. The conversation about Ecollars started all over again there and it was almost a "cut and paste" from our earlier exchange on the first list. We disagreed about the Ecollar and he asked me for references. I supplied them and then asked for his. He again refused. Again I said that this placed his veracity in doubt. He went to flaming and was removed from that list.

Gee!  Another Voodoo Louie lie.   

This continued on at least half a dozen lists and other forums (probably more).

Haven't been on that many forums.  Chalk up another Voodoo Louie lie.

Then when he could no longer confront me publicly because he'd been banned from just about every list I was on at the time, he started sending me private emails continuing the debate.

Wow!  Another lie.  I don't "debate".  I illustrate Voodoo's lies. 

They soon degraded into the most vile, most profanity filled, most hateful posts it's ever been my displeasure to receive. So I blocked his email address. He started using another address and continued his personal attacks on me. I blocked that address. He continued with another email address. In all I blocked six to eight of his email addresses and finally had to block his entire domain to stop him.

And so, since he wasn't able to correspond with me any longer, he set up his website where he can say anything he wants without response from me.

The WFFCW was created in August, 2001, within 60 days of Voodoo Louie's attack messages on the Protection Dog list.  And then the FUN started.  Voodoo Louie went insane!  In about 3 weeks he called Tampabay Roadrunner over 17 times, and threatened lawsuits, injunctions, legal actions, cease and desist orders, etc.  But the Security and Legal supervisors ignored Voodoo Louie.  It looks like the WFFCW is still here.    

A few years back he started crank calling me on the telephone. I reported this to the local police and he stopped for a while. But he kept at it. At one point he threatened to come to my home and "Kick (my) ass." As long as I lived alone and there was significant distance between us (he's in Florida, last I heard) I ignored those threats. But then I got married and small children were here. One day after that he said that he was coming to California and that he might "pay me a call." (or words to that effect.)

Isn't that amazing?  I've been housebound since 2002.  Let's take a good look at this.

I then filed for a temporary restraining order against him, which was granted.

No it wasn't.  It was thrown in the garbage.

Voodoo Louie Castle vs. Steve Leigh Cowering in fear like a battered, beaten housewife, Voodoo Louie Castle petitioned the Los Angeles Superior Court for a restraining order on December 29, 2004. The petition clearly states, "This is not a Court Order". Voodoo Louie lied under oath. I was served with a copy of the petition on January 14, 2005 by local Florida deputies.

There were technical problems with it due to him being in Florida and me in California and I never renewed it.

After doing quite a bit of research, including phoning every police department and county law enforcement agency I could find within 100 miles or so of his home, I was unable to find a single police department that had ever heard of him, much less that he'd supplied K-9's to.

Ridiculous.  Tampa Police K9 videos have been on this website for years.  So have Hillsborough County Sheriff K9 videos.  Maybe they never heard of me - but they sure did train with me.  They knew my name well enough to type it on my checks, too.

My research revealed that many years ago he purchased a SchH III dog from Germany and repeated his title once in the US.

ANOTHER Voodoo lie.  I've never shown a dog in the U.S. for SchH III.  What does that mean in plain English?  I HAVE NEVER TRIALED A SCHH III DOG IN THE U.S. IN MY LIFETIME. 

I've not been able to find any record of him having titled any other dog in any archive of any sport anywhere.

Voodoo Louie's "research supply" is Will Rambeau.  Rambo committed Factual Suicide!  It's one of the best pages on the WFFCW.  Don't miss it.  Louie couldn't find his way out of a garbage can - he's too busy lying.

If you go visit his website I'd suggest that you take a look at his section where he discusses his plans to commit suicide when his end is near. Also take a look at the sections where he admits to misdemeanors and felonies, including carrying a gun and using cocaine.

His website also includes the same sort of nonsense about Ed Frawley, owner of Leerburg Kennels and Donn Yarnall, the founder and head trainer of both the LAPD Canine Narcotics Unit and the Patrol Unit. Donn was "foolish" enough to defend me in one of Leigh's rants against me;

we are good friends and have trained together for hundreds, perhaps thousands of hours. That drew Leigh's ire and he opened a new section of his website to ridicule Donn.

Another Voodoo Louie lie.  Yarnell's pages have nothing to do with Voodoo Louie - they have to do with Fred Hassen.  Just read them and check for yourself.

A couple of years back I learned of the death of his wife. I lifted the email blocks against him and wrote him a sincere note of condolence. No matter what had occurred between us, I wanted him to know that I offered my sympathy for his loss. He never responded. During a later disagreement on yet another forum, I mentioned his lack or response to my note of comfort and he said that he thought I was being sarcastic. I assured him that wasn't the case. I'm a lot of things that many people find annoying or disagreeable but that's waaay over the top.

If Voodoo Louie told the truth, he'd drop dead from the shock.  Read the page.

These days he occasionally pops up on some forum I've recently joined, posts his website anonymously or under some assumed name, and then disappears.

Unlike lying Voodoo Louie (alias "Sam"), I always use my real name.

Occasionally he'll hang around and repeat the lies and misinformation on his website but that gives me the opportunity to talk about his abuse of dogs on the training table and the fact that he's never supplied references and so he usually doesn’t hang around too long.

Voodoo Louie writes his worthless messages about abuse, but can't prove abuse.  Why can't Voodoo Louie prove abuse?  Because it never happened!

I haven't visited the website for quite some time, I just don't care about it or its owner, but it used to be filled with posts edited to make him look good and me look bad, outright lies and downright forgeries.

Voodoo makes his insane claims about outright lies and downright forgeries, but never proves anything.  It's nearly SEVEN YEARS - Voodoo Louie can't even come up with one honest fact.  

In any case if anyone doubts my credibility either "just because" or is pointed that way due to his website, I'll be happy to supply my old department's phone number.

Check this page.  Maybe Voodoo Louie can explain why he's a "Sergeant" without stripes.  Or explain how he was a "Sergeant" 3 years before he was a policeman.

I'd urge you to call during the day shift, on a weekend. The shift sergeant is one of the last dog handlers (he wasn't a Sgt. Then) that I trained. In fact it was his dog that injured me and knocked me out of being the in-house trainer. He'll be glad to talk to you.

Voodoo Louie found somebody else to lie for him?  Try calling 310-837-1221 and asking to speak to the "Department K9 Trainer", not one of Voodoo Louie's "friends".
